Join Dr. Bri Mason, naturopathic doctor, for a talk titled “Naturopathic Care in Pregnancy + Postpartum”. In this engaging discussion, we will touch upon ways that ND’s support pregnant or postpartum people with a focus on evidence-based strategies. Some of the topics we will go over are: key nutrients and foods to include during pregnancy and postpartum, the importance of a quality prenatal + other nutrients that can be important depending on the person, evidence based nutraceuticals that can support the many symptoms that can occur during pregnancy, the importance of asking about mental health, including how to screen for perinatal + postpartum mood disorders and important mental health resources + strategies for pregnant or postpartum individuals and finally key blood markers to consider testing postpartum when folks are experiencing various symptoms. About the presenter: Dr. Brianna-Grace Mason, ND
Dr. Brianna-Grace Mason, ND, referred to as Dr. Bri by her patients is a naturopathic doctor with a clinical focus on perinatal and postpartum care as well as fertility, perimenopause, menopause and digestive health. Dr. Bri, ND is a mother of 3 and had doulas present at 2/3 of her births so she values the role that doula’s play in the birthing space on a deeply personal level. She currently runs a virtual practice for residents of Ontario and Nova Scotia as well as in person appointments available out of Synergy Physiotherapy and Pilates in the North end of Halifax. Dr. Bri, ND graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2018 and feels honoured to have worked in the field of naturopathic medicine for almost a decade.
This webinar is free to members and alumni of Doula School, Discover Birth, and The Nesting Place and is $35 for external participants. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance that can be used as 1 CEU (continuing education units) at Doula School.
