SUMMARY:WEBINAR: Doula Grand Rounds June 2026
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1738081846948{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]\nEvery fertility\, birth\, postpartum\, and loss experience is unique. We learn something new with each birther\, baby\, and family. Imagine how much we could increase our knowledge and skills if we had a forum to share what we learn. The lessons we learn from our clients are invaluable for putting theory into practice. \n \nIn this dynamic\, peer-led learning forum\, DSC students\, alums\, and Discover Birth & The Nesting Place staff will be able to show and tell what they learn on the job. Using the “Grand Rounds” model pioneered in medical schools\, doulas will present a case that expanded their knowledge and inspired professional growth. Each presentation providing a brief\, anonymized overview of the scenario and lessons learned will be followed by a discussion and Q&A. \nBy sharing our experiences this way we will: \n\nExpand our understanding of the diversity of the perinatal journey.\nBuild a mental database of strategies to troubleshoot challenges\nDraw solidarity and strength from our fellow birth workers\nHave an opportunity to debrief\, brainstorm\, and bounce ideas off each other\n\nThis session is ideal for experience-based learners who thrive on concrete examples to consolidate their learning. Recognizing that learning is ongoing\, birth workers at all learning and career stages are welcome to share and learn from one another. \nDetails: \nGrand Rounds will take place on June 23\, 2026 from 12-1pm Eastern time. \nIf you would like to present on a case\, please register first for the event\, then complete the “Presentation Request Form” link in your confirmation email.  \nThis webinar is offered freely to members and alumni of DSC\, Discover Birth\, and The Nesting Place and is $30 for external participants. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance that can be used as 1 CEU (continuing education units).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
