Doula School Scholarship Fund
A workshop scholarship is offered based on a demonstrated commitment to community service AND financial need. Doula School is committed to growing the doula profession and increasing access of doula services to a more diverse client base. Creating diversity in client base requires diversity among doulas.
Priority is given to all applicants who increase diversity in the doula profession, specifically people identifying as TSLGBTQIA+ and BIPOC (Black, Indiginous, People of Color).
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION:
Our priority is to provide a training where everyone feels welcome and among peers. Our training is based on principles of anti-racism, anti-oppression and the values of diversity and inclusion. We want our trainings to be a safe space for all. We want our profession to become more diverse to be able to support all families in a way that is culturally relevant to them. All of these priorities form the basis for our training.

This information is confidential and will not be shared with any third parties. Note that applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and you will be notified of our decision within 30 days. We may offer a full or partial scholarship. All recipients will be required to make a partial payment towards their course.
Our workshop prices range from $400 to $1500 (depending on the course) for the entire training. The price includes course materials, certification fees, etc. Those who are chosen to receive a scholarship will be responsible for any costs associated with traveling to the in-class training of their choice, purchasing their required readings, and any costs associated with their chosen educational units.

Scholarships are intended for those who face a financial barrier in registering for training as a birth worker. Please apply if you could benefit from being awarded a DTC scholarship and you do not currently have the financial means to do so.
